Wii homebrew help please!?
alright so i own an old wii but am planning on swapping to a new black one soon. i heard that through homebrew you can actually transfer all of your online save files and virtual console/wii ware games. if so, tell me whats the name of the method i should use to get it.

Unlocking My Wii Fast
How do I go about unlocking my Wii fast was the question which forced itself into my recently ‘gaming fatigued’ brain. It was three days after Christmas and most of my time (to the disgust of my wife) had been spent in front of the 42 inch flat screen playing my new toy. It was her fault though, she bought it for me!
Why would anyone want to unlock a Wii? Well most ‘Wii gamers’ whilst they start up tend to just mess around with the bog standard games such as Guitar Hero and Mario Kart. Those games can be great fun, especially when the family is around during the Christmas period!
Actually my relatives and I had the Beatles Rock Band game pumping and even Grandad was singing some of his old favorites. It was so funny watching the old crony! And even the tiny kids were singing along to songs that were in print in the 60′s. That group will live on forever folks!
But can you imagine what it would be like to be playing the drums and trying to sing along by yourself a few weeks later once everyone has gone back to work? I didnt think so. But I am sure that most of us concur that the console is so powerful and there is no reason to just leave it dorment.
The serious gamers out there realise that there are so many advantages that come with unlocking the Wii, most of which are A truely great band that will live on forever guys below. I truely do believe that its worth spending a few bucks for a great bit of software, unlock your Wii and tap into the many benefits that most people wouldnt even envisage of obtaining.
Anyway, back to the serious stuff. I had to find a way to unlock my Wii, which would therefore allow me to watch DVDs and DivX movies, play Wii Games, backup existing games, download many homebrew applications, and to top it off play homebrew games. There are plenty of people selling chip modification programs where you have to take the Wii machine apart, and actually install new hardware. Sorry folks, thats not the way to do it. As detailed later on you need to find a good software installation program which is legal and safe.
Can I cause any damage unlocking my Wii?
You can if you take the Wii apart and install a new chip! So please dont go down that route. Find a software program which will be compliant with the latest version of the Wii (at time of publishing this was v4.2) and follow their step-by-step instructions to the letter. Make sure the program is offering high quality video step by step instructions too. Again, make sure the program is legal and safe.
What are the benefits of unlocking my Wii?

Nope. After I had completed the installation I couldnt believe how easy the whole process was. It took me 15 minutes, unlocking my Wii was a simple and enjoyable task.
